# BambooHR teammate sync not working

> Fix BambooHR synchronization issues in Scribe when teammate data is missing, outdated, or not syncing correctly into your workspace directory.

When synchronizing teammate data between Scribe and [BambooHR](/en/integrations/smart-fields/bamboohr-smart-fields), Scribe matches the primary email in Scribe with the work email field in BambooHR. If a teammate is not syncing correctly, it usually means their work email is missing from BambooHR.

## How to fix this

  <Step title="Check the work email field in BambooHR">
    Go to the employee's profile in BambooHR and make sure they have a valid work email configured. If the work email field is empty, Scribe will not be able to match the teammate.

  <Step title="Trigger a new sync">
    Once all employees have a valid work email in BambooHR, go back to Scribe and trigger a new synchronization. The data should sync right away.
