# Automatisch antwoord van Gmail instellen

> Configureer je automatische vakantieantwoord in Gmail zodat je Scribe-e-mailhandtekening correct wordt weergegeven in afwezigheidsberichten en geautomatiseerde antwoorden aan afzenders.

Wanneer je de afwezigheidsassistent van [Gmail](/nl/integrations/signatures/google-workspace-client-side) configureert, wordt je Scribe-handtekening mogelijk niet correct weergegeven, tenzij je bepaalde instellingen activeert. Volg deze stappen zodat je handtekening ook in je automatische antwoorden professioneel blijft.

    Klik op het tandwielpictogram rechtsboven in Gmail en selecteer "See all settings."

  <Step title="Ga naar het gedeelte Vacation Responder">
    Scroll omlaag naar het gedeelte Vacation Responder. Vul je afwezigheidsbericht in en stel de periode in.

    Klik op **"Plain text"** boven het berichtveld om Rich formatting in te schakelen. In de modus Plain Text wordt je handtekening niet correct weergegeven.
