Plan limits and changes
This guide explains what the free plan and free trial include, the limits that apply to each plan, and what happens to your signatures when your plan changes, such as when your trial ends or a paid plan is cancelled. For a full feature comparison and pricing, see Plans and Pricing. The free plan
The free plan lets you try Scribe with a small team. It includes up to 2 users and one signature, and works with the core email providers: Gmail, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Apple Mail. On the free plan, your signatures show a “Made with Scribe” watermark. Paid features such as removing the watermark, signature folders, signature variants, marketing campaigns, importing teammates by CSV, assignment rules, and additional integrations are not included. See Plans for the full list. The free trial
When you sign up, Scribe starts a free trial that lasts 14 days. You can see how many days remain in your settings. The free trial unlocks every Scribe feature with one exception: the “Made with Scribe” watermark still appears on your signatures during the trial. The watermark is removed when you move to a paid plan.
Paid plans
Paid plans remove the watermark and unlock every feature. They do not limit how many people you can add. You pay based on the number of seats in use. See Pricing for details.A seat is a person whose primary email has at least one signature assigned. Alias email addresses do not count as seats and are free.
What happens when your plan changes
When your plan can no longer cover your active signatures, Scribe turns them off so your workspace stays within its plan. When your free trial ends
When your free trial ends, your workspace moves to the free plan and your active signatures are turned off and removed from your email. To keep your signatures running without interruption, upgrade to a paid plan before the trial ends. If you move to the free plan instead, you can set up signatures again within the free plan limits of 2 users and one signature. When you go over the free plan limit
On the free plan, if you assign signatures to more than 2 users, all of your signatures are turned off until you are back within the limit or you upgrade. Removing the extra users turns your signatures back on automatically. When a paid plan is cancelled or a payment fails
If you cancel a paid plan, or a payment cannot be completed, your workspace returns to the free plan and your active signatures are turned off and removed from your email. Scribe sends reminder emails before this happens, so you have time to update your payment details. When you subscribe again or your payment goes through, your signatures are turned back on and reinstalled automatically.Analytics data retention
How long your signature analytics, such as clicks and views, are stored depends on your plan:- Free plan and free trial: 30 days.
- Paid plans: one year.
