# Shared inbox

### What is a Shared Mailbox?

A shared mailbox is a mailbox that multiple team members can use to read and send email messages. For example, <info@company.com> or <support@company.com> can be accessed by multiple people in your organization.

### How Scribe Handles Shared Mailboxes

When using Scribe with Microsoft shared mailboxes:

* Signatures can be applied to any shared mailbox you have access to
* Each shared mailbox can have its unique signature template
* Changes to shared mailbox signatures update automatically for all users
* The same signature template can be used across multiple shared mailboxes

### Setting Up Signatures for Shared Mailboxes

1. Ensure you have access rights to the shared mailbox
2. Assign the shared mailbox email to a signature template
3. Activate template installation

### Best Practices

* Create dedicated templates for shared mailboxes to maintain consistent branding
* Regularly review shared mailbox signatures to ensure information is up to date
* Consider using different templates for different types of shared mailboxes (e.g., support, sales, info)
* Remember that any changes to the template will affect all users of the shared mailbox

### Important Notes

* Users must have appropriate permissions to access and use shared mailboxes
* All users of the shared mailbox will see the same signature when sending emails
