Here are the scopes the Google Workspace Marketplace app have access to

1. Needed to read the user aliases and signatures: gmail.settings.basic

2. Needed to install and uninstall signatures gmail.settings.sharing

The following scopes are still active for legacy reasons and will be deleted from the app in the near future.

admin.directory.user.readonly admin.directory.orgunit.readonly admin.directory.domain.readonly admin.directory.userschema.readonly

With those scopes, we cannot read your emails. Scribe is SOC II type 2 compliant.
